Glossary of EV Words & Acronyms
EV Components has gone out of business and has my money for the Thundersky batteries and the Elithion BMS. The owner James Morrison made the following several replies at this forum DIYElectricar.Com.
James Morrison: James Morrison bankrupt EVComponents owner and under lawsuit from customers that never received components. Sitting in his Telsa
His first answer for the delays was:
I have been answering emails as quickly as I can. We have 4 employees currently handling the load as best we can.
Because of the recent issues, the number of phone calls has increased and made it difficult to keep up. The best way to contact us for an order update is via email.
We have a container that arrived in port on May 3rd. It should have cleared customs and be in our warehouse today.
The final container arrives the 3rd or 4th week of May. So those cells should be shipping to customers at the end of May or first week of June.
Please be patient with the process. It takes 4-5 weeks for production time in China. 3-4 week for ocean shipping. Then we have customs in the USA. Then it simply takes a few days to open all of the crates from a container and organize individual pallets for batteries to be shipped to you.
Then later he promised nothing:
You have been classified as an unsecured creditor of EV Components.
If Dave Kois, Travis Travelstead and Mike Willmon are able to compensate EV Components for the damage caused, then there might be the possibility of you being repaid in the future.
Your online comments have aided Mike Willmon and Dave Kois in damaging EV Components to the point that the company is now insolvent and unable to deliver. Our debts (secured/unsecured) now exceed the assets.
The secured creditors will be repaid first. We are expected to recover only 80% of the amount owed.
If the secured creditors are fully repaid, then unsecured creditors are next in line for repayment.
Cells that are being sold now are part of the clearance sale and liquidation process to satisfy the debts of the company.
You are likely upset because you are one of the customers that ordered prior to the mess caused by Dave Kois and Mike Willmon.
But that is what happens when a company's assets have been secured by the creditors.
Once it became impossible to repay the secured debts, then all of the assets are seized by the creditors for liquidation.
That is the process that is currently under way.
The remaining inventory is being sold to satisfy the debts as required by contract and law.

Because of the above I am working on getting my money back or the batteries and BMS, until then the Saturn sits idle waiting on parts.
Comments
James Morrison is a bad man
James Morrison has sold much of the inventory of batteries and equipment that myself and others purchased (over $200,000) and paid for. Selling them the second time and delivering them (at least at first) under the names of Headway Headquarters and LithiumDepot.com. The justice system does not work well with swindlers. There is lawsuits, bankruptcies etc but he walks away for now.
So I hope I learned a lesson? Will have to repurchase the batteries and BMS again. I bet they would have .......
